Body Back Massager
Back Massager

If you happen to be among the 57 million Americans that suffer from back pain every day, you will be happy to know there are many ways to alleviate your discomfort. The most unfortunate part of this statistic, is that, for many of that group of people, the pain is chronic, meaning it is ongoing and lasts for more than a week at a time. Thankfully, a full range of products has become available to your back for its` relief and comfort.

If you find yourself sitting for much of the day at work, or just want something to come home to after a stressful day, there is the very popular chair back massager. Often, these products are pads you can place over a chair and plug into a nearby outlet. Some also, are battery powered, but due to the nature of these products, the electric type is more desirable. That is because these products power up small rotating motors that turn a kneading knob into popular areas of back pain, and stress relief.

Another popular relief device is the handheld, although the best versions of these can be quite bulky. These range from the small battery powered units that fit in the palm of your hand, to the larger electrical units that vibrate padded heads to whatever part of your back you desire. Often, having a partner greatly helps when using one of these massagers.

One other cheap device you may purchase is a ball massager. It is a handheld unit that features a free-moving ball exposed on one side. Holding the handle for these, and rubbing the ball over the back, allows the ball to move in a gentle, rolling motion, and may be used as both a deep tissue, and a light massage aid. The downside to this option is that, in order to maintain firmness, the ball is often made from a material that, left unused, can get cold, making it an uncomfortable device until warmed up.

If you happen to have the money, you may even buy a full massage chair. Often, these have built in motors that perform a deep tissue massage on several locations of the body. Most of the time, these even have massagers that will knead muscles in the legs and neck as well. The limiting factor with these units is price, and, whether or not anyone actually has room for one in their home. You can find them for public use, however, at many shopping malls across the country for a small price.

One thing is for sure: back pain is not going away anytime soon. It is, however, easily taken care of, and relief is available for most people! If you happen to find yourself at the receiving end of some back discomfort, do your back a favor and give it some relief. You will be able to find these products at many retail stores across the country, so make sure you select what feels best for you.
